Thank you for your interest in the charitable work of CSIY!
Who we are
Canadian Society of Iraqi Youth is a not-for-profit organization that operates independently of any partisan, corporate, national or regional government, or institution. We are dedicated to working with youth in Canada to reach their full potential by tackling the issue of supporting the many poor and deprived orphans in Iraq.
Who we serve
CSIY serves all orphans in Iraq regardless of religion, ethnicity or gender. Currently CSIY is working with an organization called Najef Campaign to help collect sponsors of orphans in Iraq. We also are open to helping out any other valid and verified organization working in Iraq with the motivations of helping orphans in need. With the growth of CSIY, we hope to reach out to more of the millions of orphans in need in Iraq.
Why we serve
Motivated by our faith and nationalistic love, we serve alongside the orphans and oppressed.

“One who maintains the orphans, Allah makes Paradise Wajib upon him, in the same way as he makes Hell Wajib upon those who usurp the property of the orphans.”

When an orphan cries the Heaven shudders, then Almighty Allah says, ‘O Angels, Is this the same orphan whose father has been buried in the earth?’ The Angels reply, ‘(O Allah) you are the all-knowing.’ Then Allah would say, ‘O My Angel be a witness. Whoever consoles this orphan and makes him happy, I will make him happy on the day of Qiyāma.’”

“If anyone from you becomes the guardian of an orphan and deals kindly with them, and he fulfills these actions satisfactorily, and he strokes the head of the orphan with sympathy, then Allah necessarily writes good deeds equivalent to the hair covered by his hand and forgives sins equal to the number of hair, and raises his position in grades equal to the hair of the orphan’s head.”

Our Funding
We are funded, supported and encouraged solely by our members, sponsors and well wishers. We graciously accept donations to help grow and maintain our foundations, projects, events and efforts to promote youth collaboration both in Canada and Iraq. All of our staff is un-paid and dedicate their time and effort only because we sincerely care.
